Here at The Belle we serve up fresh, clean and honest food, with an emphasis on local & seasonal produce, quality ingredients, whole foods and health conscious options. We have created a menu that offers many choices that leave you feeling light but satisfied.
We specialize in sourcing and creating amazing gluten & dairy free alternatives that are not lacking in quality, flavour or texture. We offer the option to experience GF, DF and low sugar foods with such quality and taste that it challenges the perception that they are not as good as so called ‘normal food’. We also offer quality wheat and dairy products for those who prefer them, ensuring that there is something for everyone.
The benefits of a no or low gluten diet are extensive, including reducing bloating, depression and digestive issues, whilst promoting an increase in energy levels and clear thinking. Dairy consumption has been shown to cause digestive issues, sinus problems, weight gain and increased cancer risks. About 75% of the world's population is genetically unable to properly digest milk and other dairy products – a problem called lactose intolerance. Sugar is now being outed as another highly addictive and poisonous commodity that we consume excessively worldwide and though we do use some, it is used sparingly with alternatives substituted where possible.

LOCAL AND ORGANIC PRODUCE'
We are always on the lookout for the best produce – buying local where possible. The bananas used in our smoothies are sourced from Uralba Valley Bananas in Uralba. From Byron Bay farmers market we obtain our Coopers Shoot Tomatoes, local blueberries & flowers, Nimbin Valley brown rice and other seasonal delicacies. Our genuine free range eggs come from Scrubby Gully farm in Doubtful Creek, not far from Casino. The bacon is free range of course, the legendary Bangalow ham is a staple in our organic sour dough sandwiches , why use anything else? We are passionate about knowing where our meat comes from and ensure it is ethically farmed and free range wherever possible. |
'WE LOVE CONDIMENTS'
Aioli, relish, hot chilli, lemon grass sweet chilli, spiced tahini dip, pesto, special sauce, tartare and vegan aioli .... the list goes on and when they are amazing, they take awesome food to a whole new level! We have taken the time and care to create some classic condiments with a dedicated twist, we use only the finest ingredients and like all we create, its made with love. Our once made in house Aioli is has now been replaced doe to law changes and now does not contain any raw egg but the one we choose we selected carefully so it matched what we were formally producing, it is of course gluten free, dairy free, free range and no added narsties. Our Capsicum Tomato Relish is lightly sweetened with organic rice malt syrup, as is our amazing Nam Jim that accompanies the Salt & Pepper Squid - yes... finally an Asian dipping sauce that's fructose free! Our Hot Chilli (no sugar or substitutes just cayenne chillies!) & Sweet Chilli come from Byron Bay Chilli Co. – these guys have chilli sauces totally nailed. |

The muffins get a special mention, fresh baked daily and made with organic maple syrup, fresh fruit and vanilla pods, these babies are amazing.

Banana bread which is house baked, using local Uralba Valley bananas and honey and how can you go past the Organic coconut date and fig loaf and we haven't yet go to the vegan choc granola and plain granola bars and yes hand and house made from our very own delicious granola.
We have now developed a range of vegan cookies with choc chip and peanut butter the favourites and yes we make and bake all this in Ballina for you!
